The U.S. Consulate General in Almaty has announced an auction scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025. The event will take place at the main warehouse located at 133A Angarskaya Street.
Registration and item review are set from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the auction running from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All purchased items must be removed from the warehouse by 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
Items available for bidding include used household and office furniture, appliances, IT equipment, parts, supplies, vehicles, and other goods. According to the consulate’s announcement, "All items sold 'AS IS' USED/Preowned with no warranty or guarantee."
There is a registration fee of KZT 50,000 or USD 100 per bidder number. The consulate states that "The registration fee will be applied to any purchased lots or reimbursed if no lots are purchased. If the amount of the lot purchased is below the registration fee, the difference will be returned. If a bidder refuses to pay for a lot, the registration amount will NOT be refunded." Payments are accepted in cash only in either KZT or USD; torn and old banknotes are not accepted.
