Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has been recognized for its ongoing commitment to sustainable governance and climate action, earning third place in the Large Enterprises – Financial Industry category at the 2025 CommonWealth CSR Sustainable Citizenship Award. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Yuanta FHC has received this recognition from CommonWealth Magazine, which evaluates companies on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.

The award is based on a comprehensive evaluation system developed by CommonWealth Magazine since 2007. The judging process uses quantitative indicators and assesses corporate governance, corporate commitment, social engagement, and environmental sustainability.

Yuanta FHC’s efforts to develop sustainable financial talent have been highlighted as a key achievement. By September 2025, more than 39,000 people in Taiwan had obtained basic certification in sustainable finance. Of these, nearly 4,000 are from Yuanta Group—representing about thirteen percent of certified professionals in Taiwan’s financial industry.

The company reports a diversified board structure with independent directors making up over 40% of its board and women holding one-third of the seats. For nine consecutive years, Yuanta FHC has ranked in the top five percent of the Taiwan Stock Exchange’s Corporate Governance Evaluation. It also received “Outstanding Certification” in the CG6014 (2023) Corporate Governance System Assessment by the Taiwan Corporate Governance Association.

Yuanta FHC states it aligns with international standards and has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for six years straight. It claims to have ranked first globally three times among Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets groups.

In terms of environmental initiatives, Yuanta Group reports that green power accounted for 13.64% of its total energy use in 2024. The group says it spent NT299 million on green procurement last year and has been recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment for thirteen consecutive years as an outstanding private enterprise in this area.

Additionally, Yuanta Group engaged sixteen key investment enterprises on sustainability issues; five have taken specific improvement actions following this engagement. The company was named to CDP’s Climate A List for five years running and recognized as a leader in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for six years.

"We have been enthusiastically aligning with international standards and have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for six straight years and have placed number one (No. 1) in the world in the group of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets for three times," according to Yuanta FHC.
