Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau is visiting Bolivia from November 6 to 9, attending the inauguration of President-elect Rodrigo Paz. During his visit, Landau will meet with President-elect Paz and other senior Bolivian officials to discuss bilateral relations, focusing on trade, investment, people-to-people connections, and regional security.
Landau is joined by Ben Black, CEO of the Development Finance Corporation; John Jovanovic, President & Chairman of the Export-Import Bank; and Jonathan Greenstein, Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury. According to a press statement by Principal Deputy Spokesperson Thomas “Tommy” Pigott: "This visit underscores the United States’ commitment to its 176-year partnership with Bolivia by strengthening regional security, supporting Bolivia’s economic stabilization efforts, and fostering a prosperous and secure future for both nations."
