Meta has announced the launch of its new Meta AI app experience in Europe, extending its suite of artificial intelligence tools already available on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. The app brings together several features in one platform, including an AI assistant, management tools for AI glasses, and a new feed called Vibes.
Vibes allows users to create and share short-form videos generated by AI. Since its initial launch in the United States, media generation within the app has increased more than tenfold. The company reports that over 20 billion images have been created using its AI tools. With this European rollout, users can access a personalized feed displaying content from creators and communities and are encouraged to remix or co-create videos.
According to Meta: "Within the Meta AI app, people across Europe will now have access to Vibes – a new feed within the app that centres around creating and sharing short-form, AI-generated videos. You’ll be able to explore a dedicated feed, displaying AI-generated videos and content from creators and communities, which will become more personalised to your interests over time."
The creation process includes options for adding visuals, music layers, or adjusting styles. Content can be shared directly on Vibes or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.
In addition to Vibes, the Meta AI app provides access to an upgraded conversational assistant. Users can chat with Meta AI for answers or creative ideas at any time. The app also supports image generation from text prompts as well as editing tools for photos.
Meta stated: "Chat naturally with Meta AI to get answers, advice, or creative ideas – anytime you need them." The company added: "Effortlessly edit, enhance, and transform your photos using advanced AI-powered tools, making it easy to personalise and perfect your visuals."
Users can continue managing their Meta-branded smart glasses through the app—importing photos or videos from their devices for editing or sharing using integrated AI capabilities.
Meta indicated that it plans further expansions of features over time: "We’re just getting started. Over time, we’ll continue to expand the Meta AI app’s features and capabilities..."
