Dr. Anjani K. Sinha has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore. Dr. Sinha is recognized for his extensive background in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, having led specialized practices across eight locations in New York and served as a senior surgical consultant in Florida.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sinha has focused on improving healthcare by working with both public and private sectors, as well as collaborating with professionals from medical, legal, and business backgrounds within the healthcare industry.

In addition to his professional work, Dr. Sinha is known for his philanthropic efforts supporting communities in the United States and India. Alongside his wife, Dr. Kuntala Sinha, he has contributed to several institutions of higher education in New Hampshire, New York, and their alma maters in India.

Dr. Sinha holds a medical degree from MGM Medical School and Delhi University in India, where he also completed a master’s degree in orthopedic surgery. He has been married to Dr. Kuntala Sinha for 48 years; she is a retired anesthesiologist and former faculty member at New York University. They have two children and three grandchildren.
