Banco Santander and IE University have announced a new in-person course aimed at young adults aged 21 to 35 from 13 countries. The program, which will take place in Madrid in July 2026, focuses on innovation, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship. A total of 90 participants will be selected for the two-week course led by IE University lecturers.

The initiative is designed to support young international talent. IE University will handle both the delivery of the program and the selection of applicants. The course is scheduled to run from July 13 to July 24, 2026, at IE’s Madrid campus. Applications are open until December 3 through the Santander Open Academy website.

The curriculum combines practical workshops and sessions on topics such as artificial intelligence, startups, entrepreneurship, and strategic consulting. Over two weeks, attendees will work on real-world challenges and develop skills relevant to leading innovative projects. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with peers from various countries.

All costs related to accommodation, transport, registration, and tuition are covered for those accepted into the program. In addition to these benefits, participants will gain access to an international network that may support their professional growth after completing the course.

Applicants do not need to be Santander customers but must demonstrate a high level of English proficiency and an interest in technology and innovation.

Banco Santander states that this initiative reaffirms its commitment "to lifelong learning and the acquisition of digital skills in a world of constant technological transformation."

According to Banco Santander, it has invested over EUR 2.4 billion in education-related initiatives over nearly three decades. The bank has provided scholarships and grants benefiting more than 3.7 million people and businesses through partnerships with close to 1,100 universities (https://www.santander.com/universidades). Additionally, Banco Santander was included in Fortune magazine’s “Change the World” list for 2025 as one of the major contributors toward global improvement.
