The U.S. Embassy in Cuba has released its list of official holidays for 2026, outlining days when the embassy will be closed in observance of both American and Cuban national holidays.

The schedule begins with New Year’s Day on January 1, which is recognized by both the United States and Cuba. The following day, January 2, is also a holiday in Cuba. Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday will be observed on January 19 by the United States.

In February, Presidents’ Day falls on February 16 for the United States. Good Friday will be observed in Cuba on April 3.

Cuban Labor Day is set for May 1, while Memorial Day in the United States will be marked on May 25.

Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, will be observed on June 19.

Independence Day (Observed) for the United States takes place on July 4. National Revolutionary Days are scheduled from July 25 to July 27 in Cuba.

Labor Day for the United States falls on September 7.

October includes two holidays: Commencement of the Wars of Independence in Cuba on October 10 and Columbus Day in the United States on October 12.

Veterans Day (United States) is November 11, followed by Thanksgiving (United States) on November 26.

Christmas will be celebrated by both countries on December 25. The year concludes with an End of Year Celebration in Cuba on December 31.
