Defending champion Thammanoon Sriroj of Thailand secured his second consecutive Fubon Senior Open title in Taipei, finishing with a final round score of 68 for a total of 207 (-9). Sriroj maintained a strong lead throughout the final day, ultimately winning by five shots. Last year’s runner-up, Prayad Marksaeng, finished second again with a score of 212 after closing with a 70.

Sriroj’s victory comes as he continues to perform well on the senior golf circuit across Asia, having won eight tournaments this year. He currently holds second place in the order of merit on the Japan Senior Tour and has plans to compete for more titles in Japan before attempting to join the European Senior Tour. In addition to his prize money, Sriroj stated that he would give 10% of his NT$1 million winnings to his son and caddie Boss.

As part of tournament tradition, Sriroj received a blue jacket and a championship trophy made from recycled marble.

In the super senior category, Taiwan’s Chung Chun-hsing retained his title after making par at the last hole. Chung finished ahead of Chen Tsang-te after Chen bogeyed the final hole. “I’d like to thank Fubon for its continued sponsorship of this great senior tournament,” said Chung.

Tsai Chi-huang, winner of the 2022 event, finished third with an even-par 72 for a total score of 216. Tsai delivered notable shots during his round but was unable to close the gap with Sriroj in the final holes. “It’s a pity my best performance stopped after the 13th hole. I hope I can do better next year,” said Tsai.

Chou Hung-nan took fourth place with a score of 218.

Among amateur participants, Wang Yu-chun, a 17-year-old high school student, earned recognition as best amateur after completing the tournament at 222. Wang mentioned learning valuable lessons from competing alongside professional players.

The Fubon Senior Open is sponsored by Fubon Financial Holding Co., Ltd., which continues its support for senior golf events in Taiwan.
