Siemens and Capgemini have announced an expanded partnership aimed at advancing digital transformation in manufacturing industries. The collaboration is set to address sectors such as aerospace, automotive, life sciences, and emerging markets like hydrogen and water management.

The companies highlighted three ongoing projects as examples of their joint efforts. For Airbus, Siemens technologies are being used to help decarbonize four industrial locations in the United States and United Kingdom. The goal is to support Airbus in reducing energy consumption by 20 percent and cutting Scope 1 and 2 stationary emissions by 85 percent across its global operations by 2030. Energy system twins will be used to simulate and identify optimal decarbonization strategies for each site. Capgemini is contributing consulting services, project management, and planning expertise.

In another initiative with Sanofi, Siemens and Capgemini are working together to standardize production processes and accelerate the deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) worldwide. The MES acceleration program uses generative AI to digitize batch records, replacing paper-based systems. This change has reduced review times by 70 percent and cut deviations by 80 percent, setting new standards for efficiency, quality, and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.

A third example involves GravitHy, a French iron company. Siemens and Capgemini are helping GravitHy digitalize its industrial processes to improve operational efficiency and agility while addressing challenges related to the energy transition. The collaboration aims for a reduction of up to 10 percent in hydrogen production costs.

The joint initiative currently supports more than 100 clients across 20 countries. To meet increasing demand, Capgemini plans to expand its pool of certified experts in Siemens technologies across various industries and regions.

Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, commented on the partnership alongside Aiman Ezzat, CEO of the Capgemini Group.

The two companies have worked together for nearly twenty years and maintain an established go-to-market model designed to serve clients globally.
