Marches and commemorative events are scheduled across Serbia from October 29 to November 1 to mark the first anniversary of the Novi Sad Railway Station canopy collapse. Serbian authorities anticipate around 24 separate marches, with participants traveling by bicycle and on foot toward Novi Sad. The main commemoration will take place on Saturday, November 1.
More than 4,000 students have registered for a group gathering in Belgrade’s Republic Square at 10:00 p.m. on October 29. This group will march on October 30, making stops in Batajnica, Nova Pazova, and Stara Pazova before staying overnight in Inđija. The group plans to arrive in Novi Sad on October 31.
Traffic disruptions and delays to public transportation are expected along the march routes and near Novi Sad during these days.
