The U.S. Senate has confirmed John Giordano as the next United States Ambassador to Namibia. The confirmation took place on September 29, following his nomination by President Donald J. Trump.

A statement from the U.S. Embassy in Namibia said, "On behalf of the entire Embassy team, we extend our warmest congratulations to Ambassador-designate Giordano and look forward to his arrival in the coming days. Working under his leadership, we will continue to deepen the longstanding ties between the United States and Namibia, advancing our shared values and common priorities."

Giordano is expected to assume his duties soon, continuing diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
