Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and Serve the City have announced a partnership aimed at supporting volunteer activities across Europe. The collaboration is designed to empower volunteers and improve mobility for those engaged in community service.

TME is responsible for the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus vehicles, as well as overseeing manufacturing and engineering operations in Europe. The company employs over 26,000 people in the region and has invested more than 12 billion euros since 1990. Toyota operates eight manufacturing plants located in Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey. Currently, about 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are on European roads. These drivers are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies and approximately 2,800 retail outlets in 53 countries.

In 2024, TME sold over 1.2 million vehicles in Europe, achieving a market share of 7.1 percent. More details can be found at www.toyota-europe.com.

Toyota’s approach centers on enabling freedom of movement with its philosophy that “when people are free to move, anything is possible.” The company’s goal is to create safer, more connected, inclusive, and sustainable mobility options as part of its mission to produce “Happiness for All.”

In Europe, TME introduced the KINTO mobility brand which provides various services in 20 countries. It is also expanding its business-to-business offerings of zero-emission fuel cell products and engineering support. As part of its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Toyota is working toward carbon neutrality across all its European operations. TME has set a target to achieve complete CO2 reduction in all new vehicles sold in Western Europe by 2035 while continuing to offer customers hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric, and fuel cell electric vehicle options.

The new partnership with Serve the City aims to build on these sustainability goals by supporting volunteers who play an important role in communities throughout Europe.
