Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has reported record sales of 930,452 vehicles in the first nine months of 2025, surpassing previous performance levels. The company oversees wholesale sales and marketing for Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus brands across Europe, as well as managing manufacturing and engineering operations in the region.

According to TME, over 26,000 people are directly employed by the company in Europe. Since 1990, Toyota has invested more than EUR 12 billion on the continent. Its eight manufacturing plants are located in Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey.

There are currently about 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles on European roads. Drivers are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies and approximately 2,800 retail outlets spanning 53 countries—including EU member states, the UK, EFTA countries, Israel, Turkey, and other Eastern European nations. In 2024 alone, TME sold 1,217,132 vehicles in Europe and achieved a market share of 7.1 percent. More information is available at www.toyota-europe.com.

The company stated its mission as follows: "Toyota believes that when people are free to move, anything is possible. In the pursuit of 'Mobility for All', Toyota aims to create safer, more connected, inclusive and sustainable mobility to achieve its mission of producing 'Happiness for All'."

In support of this goal within Europe, TME launched the KINTO mobility brand which provides various mobility services across 20 countries. The company is also expanding business-to-business sales involving zero-emission fuel cell products and related engineering support.

Toyota continues efforts aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by working toward carbon neutrality throughout its European operations. As part of these efforts—and as a longstanding leader in CO2 reduction within Europe—TME aims for complete CO2 reduction from all new vehicles sold in Western Europe by 2035. The company plans to maintain a diverse lineup of electrified powertrains including hybrid models as well as plug-in hybrid, battery electric, and fuel cell electric vehicles.
