Warburg Pincus has announced the appointment of Peter Herweck as Executive-in-Residence to work with its European Technology group. In this new role, Herweck will help the firm identify and assess investment opportunities in the software and technology sectors. He will also contribute to value creation efforts across Warburg Pincus’s existing portfolio.
Herweck brings more than 30 years of experience in industrial automation, industrial software, and energy systems. He was most recently CEO of Schneider Electric and previously served as Chairman and CEO of AVEVA. Earlier in his career, he held several senior executive positions at Siemens, including Chief Strategy Officer.

Herweck is currently a Non-Executive Director on Teradyne’s board. He holds an MBA from Wake Forest University, completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, and has engineering degrees from Université de Metz in France and HTW Saar in Germany.
