The U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby has announced a consular outreach visit to Jiwaka Province. The event will take place at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital in Kudjip, Jiwaka on October 23, 2025. U.S. citizen services will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a town hall at 12:00 p.m.

During the visit, consular staff will offer services such as applications for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA). Notarial services will not be available during this outreach trip.

U.S. citizens who wish to make an appointment are required to email ConsularPortMoresby@state.gov by 12:00 p.m. on October 22. Applicants should use the subject line "E77 – ACS – REMOTE APPOINTMENT – JIWAKA – FULL NAME" and include the name and date of birth of each applicant, current or expired passport number if applicable, type of service requested, a description of their situation, and attach relevant documents.

All passport and CRBA applicants must pay fees online and submit a printout of the payment confirmation with their application. The correct payment link should be selected based on the applicant's circumstances, especially for family groups.

For adult passport renewals using the DS-82 application, applicants must meet specific requirements such as submitting their most recent passport and ensuring it was issued within the last 15 years with a 10-year validity.

Applicants using the DS-11 application must meet at least one criterion, such as applying for a first U.S. passport or replacing a lost or damaged passport.

The payment link for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad is part of the online application process. Applicants are advised to follow the instructions on the Embassy’s website.

Applicants must arrange for the return of approved documents from the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby either through in-person pickup or an international courier service like DHL. A pre-paid waybill may be submitted with the application if using a courier.

Fees for various services are as follows:

- Adult passport renewal: $130 USD

- First-time adult passport: $165 USD

- Minor passport renewal: $135 USD

- Consular Report of Birth Abroad and first passport: $235 USD

Specific documentation is required for each service, including passport photos, forms, and identification documents.

Applicants needing to replace lost, stolen, or mutilated passports should email the Embassy in advance to confirm if this service can be provided during the visit.

Consular staff can also accept completed and sealed voting materials with sufficient U.S. postage. More information is available at FVAP.gov.
