Content creator Dolly Singh has been named as one of the 25 recipients of Instagram’s 2025 Rings Award, making her the only winner from India. The Rings Award, recently announced by Instagram, recognizes creators who take creative risks and influence culture through their work.
Dolly Singh expressed her excitement about the recognition, stating, “Being recognized with the Rings Award, is so surreal that the feeling has still not sunk in. It’s definitely one of my career’s biggest moments yet and a shiver goes down my spine, I get goosebumps every time I think about it. The jury panel for the award is impeccable and just the fact that these brilliant, genius minds have seen my content is unbelievable! I hope that I continue to make my audiences proud with the content I continue to make.”
She also reflected on her journey as a creator: “Instagram has been a platform that became my playground from the get go, where I first played with fashion, then comedy and now into much larger storytelling. Here, I’ve been able to experiment, take risks, and share my most authentic self with my community.”
Other winners of the 2025 Rings Award include Zarna Garg, Aki and Koichi, and Olivia Dean. The selection was made by a panel featuring notable figures such as Grace Wales Bonner, Spike Lee, Ilona Maher, Pat McGrath, Marc Jacobs, Yara Shahidi, KAWS, Adam Mosseri (Head of Instagram), and Eva Chen (Head of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram).
Award recipients will receive both a physical ring and a digital ring displayed on their Instagram profiles. When winners post stories, an exclusive gold ring will appear around their profile picture across the app. Winners will also be able to customize their profile backdrop color and personalize the “like” button on their profiles.
