Ray-Ban Meta glasses users in India will soon have access to several new features powered by Meta AI, aiming to enhance the utility and personalization of the wearable device. The updates include support for Hindi language interactions, the introduction of celebrity AI voices, festive-themed photo restyling, and integration with UPI Lite payments.

Meta AI now allows users to interact using their voice through both Ray-Ban Meta glasses and the Meta AI app. The system can respond out loud to queries ranging from information requests to jokes. A notable addition is a new assistant voice modeled after Indian actress Deepika Padukone, available in Indian English. This expands the selection of recognizable celebrity voices that users can choose from when interacting with the assistant.

Hindi language support is now fully integrated into Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Users can set Hindi as their preferred language via the device settings in the Meta AI app. This update enables hands-free interaction with features such as taking photos and videos, answering calls and texts, accessing information, and controlling media—all in Hindi. The update uses technology developed by Sarvam, a foundational model company based in India.

During the Diwali season, users can utilize a new feature that allows them to restyle their photos with Diwali-inspired themes like lights, fireworks, and rangoli patterns. By saying “Hey Meta, Restyle This,” users can have their captures transformed into festive images viewable on the Meta AI app.

A payment feature is also being tested that enables secure UPI QR code transactions directly from Ray-Ban Meta glasses. As demonstrated at the Global Fintech Fest, users will be able to make payments under 1,000 rupees by looking at a QR code and saying “Hey Meta, scan and pay.” The transaction will be processed via the user’s WhatsApp-linked bank account. This integration aims to simplify everyday transactions without needing to use a phone or wallet. More information about this payment feature can be found at https://about.fb.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/RBM-x-Meta_Digital-Payment_Final_V1.mp4.

These new capabilities are designed to provide more localized and convenient experiences for Ray-Ban Meta glasses users in India.
