Samsung Electronics has maintained its position as the fifth most valuable global brand for the sixth consecutive year, according to the latest “Best Global Brands” list released by Interbrand, a global brand consultancy. The company’s brand value was assessed at $90.5 billion, making it the only Asian company to remain in the global top five since 2020.
Interbrand’s evaluation highlighted Samsung’s ongoing efforts in artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and its approach to open collaboration. Won-Jin Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Through AI innovation and open collaboration, Samsung has worked to ensure that more customers can experience AI in their daily lives. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on benefits for customers including in health and safety so that Samsung can grow into an even more beloved brand.”
Samsung’s strategy, guided by its “Innovation for All” vision, focuses on making AI technologies accessible to a wider audience. This year, the company advanced its leadership in mobile AI through developments in Galaxy AI, with a goal to reach 400 million devices within the year. In consumer electronics, Samsung introduced AI technologies tailored to specific product categories, such as Vision AI and Bespoke AI.
The company also worked with various partners to enhance personalized AI experiences and emphasized security through Samsung Knox. In the semiconductor sector, Samsung addressed increasing demand for AI with a range of products for cloud, on-device, and physical AI applications, including HBM, DDR5, LPDDR5X, and GDDR7 memory technologies.
Samsung continues to prioritize accessibility and sustainability across its business divisions. This includes initiatives such as energy-efficient appliances that can be managed through SmartThings.
Interbrand’s ranking process considers financial performance, brand influence on customer purchasing decisions, and brand competitiveness in areas like strategy, customer engagement, consistency, and trust. The “Best Global Brands” ranking is recognized as one of the longest-standing and credible evaluations of brand value globally.
