The U.S. Embassy in Majuro has announced a vacancy for the position of Security Guard, open from October 15 to October 31, 2025. The position is full-time and based in Majuro, Marshall Islands, with an annual salary of $11,917.

According to the announcement, "The U.S. Mission in Majuro is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Security Guard position." The role involves providing security for embassy personnel and facilities by managing access control and visitor screening. Duties also include using physical, technical, and procedural security systems to prevent unauthorized access and deter criminal or terrorist threats.

Applicants must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance and may undergo a background investigation as well as a pre-employment medical exam. Candidates are expected to start work within four weeks after receiving authorization or clearances.

To qualify for the position, applicants must meet one of three combinations of education and experience: secondary education with no experience; middle school with four years of relevant work experience; or primary school with seven years of relevant work experience. Documentation verifying educational requirements must be submitted as part of the application process.

Language skills required include Level 3 proficiency (good working knowledge) in Marshallese and Level 1 proficiency (rudimentary knowledge) in English. Applicants will also need knowledge of emergency response procedures, familiarity with security equipment, awareness of local customs, and the ability to operate various security devices.
