On October 11, a student demonstration is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade. Participants will then march to the Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, which is located in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.
A separate gathering organized by pro-government groups has also been announced, but details about their route have not been provided.
The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade has warned that the planned march may cause temporary road closures and disrupt traffic along the route. Public transportation in the affected areas could face delays or be rerouted. Residents and commuters are advised to consider alternative routes and allow extra time for travel. The Embassy also notes that there could be unplanned or “pop-up” demonstrations elsewhere in the city.
The Embassy advises: "Avoid the area if possible. Monitor local media for updates. Keep a low profile."
