Media outlets have reported that a demonstration is scheduled to occur at the U.S. Embassy in Brasília on Tuesday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In addition, reports indicate that a larger demonstration, which could draw more than 10,000 participants, is expected near the National Museum starting at 4:00 p.m. on the same day.

The U.S. Embassy has advised American citizens to avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place due to the potential for conflict between police, demonstrators, and counterdemonstrators. The embassy stated: "U.S. citizens should avoid areas around demonstrations as there could be conflicts between police, demonstrators, and counterdemonstrations, which could develop unexpectedly.  Exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, as even peaceful demonstrations have the potential to turn violent without warning."

The embassy also provided recommendations for safety: "Avoid crowds and demonstrations. Monitor local media for updates. Be aware of traffic disruptions. Plan alternate routes. Be aware of your surroundings. Notify friends and family of your whereabouts and safety."

U.S. citizens seeking assistance can contact the U.S. Embassy in Brasília at SES – Av. das Nações, Quadra 801, Lote 03, Brasília, DF – 70403-900, by phone at (61) 3312-7000 or after-hours at (61) 3312-7400, or by email at BrasiliaACS@state.gov.
