Siemens has introduced SICHARGE Flex, a new distributed electric vehicle (EV) charging system designed for the growing demands of high-power charging in the megawatt era. The system was unveiled at Busworld 2025 in Brussels and is expected to be available for purchase in 2026.

SICHARGE Flex is built to support both current and future EV charging needs, offering a flexible design that simplifies installation and maintenance. The system integrates with Siemens’ existing eMobility ecosystem and features cloud-based monitoring through Sifinity Control. This platform allows operators to remotely manage their charging infrastructure, providing full visibility and enabling configuration tailored to operational requirements.

For depot operators, SICHARGE Flex can be integrated with DepotFinity’s smart energy management tools. This integration helps optimize fleet charging even when grid capacity is limited, potentially reducing the need for expensive infrastructure upgrades by dynamically distributing power across connected vehicles.

The system also addresses sustainability goals by promoting efficient energy use and supporting grid balancing capabilities. Siemens highlights its commitment to security by incorporating "Security by Design" principles into SICHARGE Flex, including encryption of data at rest and in transit as well as secure boot features.

According to Siemens, “E-Mobility is crucial for achieving global climate goals. Siemens eMobility is dedicated to integrating it into everyday life, contributing to a more sustainable future. Its portfolio covers all aspects of smart and efficient DC charging infrastructure, including IoT-connected hardware, software, and a comprehensive service offering – beyond hardware. It particularly focuses on the growing high-power fast charging segment – for depot and en-route applications. Siemens eMobility’s customers include Charge Point Operators, OEMs, energy companies, and fleet operators.”

The launch targets transportation companies, charge point operators (CPOs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and logistics firms looking for scalable solutions as demand for fast-charging infrastructure increases worldwide.
