Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on September 24 to discuss the ongoing partnership between the United States and Singapore. According to Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott, both officials highlighted the stability and strength of their countries' strategic relationship.
During their meeting, Landau and Balakrishnan addressed a range of topics including defense, security, energy, technology, and commercial collaboration. Both leaders agreed that economic cooperation and enhanced bilateral security ties provide benefits not only for Americans and Singaporeans but also for others in the region.
