The U.S. Department of State has released the 25th edition of its Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, which aims to encourage countries to address forced labor and sex trafficking. The report highlights ongoing global challenges related to human trafficking and outlines measures for accountability.

In a statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, "Human trafficking is a horrific and devastating crime that also enriches transnational criminal organizations and immoral, anti-American regimes. The 25th edition of the Trafficking in Persons Report pushes countries to take serious action against forced labor and sex trafficking and ensures that those who fail to act face consequences. The Trump Administration is dedicated to upholding American values, protecting American workers, and defending our communities."

The TIP Report serves as a tool for diplomatic engagement with foreign governments regarding their efforts to combat human trafficking. It assesses each country's progress and may impact U.S. foreign assistance or relations based on performance.
