The World Trade Organization (WTO) has released documents related to its latest Trade Policy Review of Zambia. The review process includes a detailed report prepared independently by the WTO Secretariat and a policy statement submitted by the Zambian government. Both reports are discussed by the full membership of the WTO in the Trade Policy Review Body (TPRB).

According to the WTO, "Trade Policy Reviews are an exercise, mandated in the WTO agreements, in which member countries’ trade and related policies are examined and evaluated at regular intervals. Significant developments that may have an impact on the global trading system are also monitored. All WTO members are subject to review, with the frequency of review depending on the country’s size."

The purpose of these reviews is to promote transparency and understanding of each member's trade policies, as well as to monitor any changes that could affect international trade.
