Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg in New York during the United Nations General Assembly. According to Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott, the two officials reaffirmed the mutual interests and shared democratic values that support the U.S.-Mongolia Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership.

During their discussion, they also explored opportunities to expand economic ties between the United States and Mongolia.
