UBS is bringing its experiential exhibition, UBS House of Craft x Dior, to Singapore following its debut in New York earlier this year. The exhibition will be held from November 21 to 23 at the New Art Museum Singapore, part of the Whitestone Gallery, and marks the event’s first appearance in Asia.
The exhibition will highlight eight decades of Dior’s history by featuring works from all seven of the brand's creative directors. It includes newly added archival pieces and offers free public access. The program is curated by Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, with the photographic exhibition conceived and created by Brigitte Niedermair.
Jin Yee Young, Co-Head UBS Global Wealth Management Asia Pacific and Country Head UBS Singapore, stated: “UBS is delighted to present the Asia debut of UBS House of Craft x Dior in Singapore, a global metropolis rich in culture and history. Singapore’s intersection of heritage and innovation provides a distinctive backdrop for celebrating craftsmanship at the highest level, sparking dialogue and discovery. We are delighted to partner with Dior and Carine Roitfeld to present the expanded exhibition, paying homage to the heritage of Dior and UBS as well as showcasing the precision, dedication, and artistry that define our own craft.”
Olivier Bialobos, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Global Communication & Image at Christian Dior Couture and Parfums Christian Dior, said: “Above all, this alliance is a celebration of excellence, haute couture elegance, and the exceptional savoir-faire deployed by Dior since the triumph of the New Look in 1947. Carine Roitfeld's passion and unique expertise, combined with the unrivalled talent of Brigitte Niedermair, a loyal collaborator of the House, highlight at once our timeless heritage and our creativity that is constantly reinvented by the various designers who have succeeded Christian Dior. This artistic dialogue is a tribute to audacity and virtuoso artisanship, at the convergence of past, present, and future, in a perpetually shifting cultural landscape.”
The event will feature conversations, panels, workshops on couture craft as well as special programming designed to foster engagement between attendees and industry experts. A detailed schedule will be announced later.
UBS House of Craft is part of an ongoing initiative by UBS aimed at celebrating mastery across fields such as couture fashion (with partners like Dior), horology—exemplified by events such as Icons of Time in New York—and gastronomy. These efforts emphasize how tradition can intersect with innovation through collaborative exhibitions involving prominent figures from each discipline.
The exhibition will be open free to registered visitors via https://www.ubs.com/sg/en/wealthmanagement/about-us/craft/hoc-sg/registration.html.
