Demonstrations are expected in Mexico City from September 24 to 26, coinciding with the 11th anniversary of the disappearance of 43 students from Ayotzinapa Rural Teacher’s College. The protests are planned at several locations throughout the city.

On September 24 at 11:00 am, a protest will begin at the Secretariat of Foreign Relations (SRE) on Av. Juarez 20, Colonia Centro, Cuauhtémoc. On September 25 at 11:00 am, another protest is scheduled at the Fiscalia General de la República (FGR), C. Dr. Lucio 135, Doctores, Cuauhtémoc. The final demonstration will take place on September 26 at 4:00 pm, starting from the Angel of Independence Monument on Reforma Avenue near the U.S. Embassy and marching to the Zocalo in downtown Mexico City.

The U.S. Embassy warns that "Based on past protest activity, there is a high likelihood of vandalism and potential violence."

Authorities advise people to avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place as these events can be unpredictable. Local media should be monitored for updates and instructions from local authorities should be followed. In case of emergency, residents and visitors are encouraged to call 911.
