Demonstrations are planned in Bratislava on September 23 and September 30, according to a notice for U.S. citizens. The first event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Freedom Square. Another demonstration will take place on Tuesday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m. in front of the National Council building.

The notice warns that there may be traffic disruptions and an increased police presence in the area during these times. It also states that counterprotests could occur and encourages people to monitor local media for updates.

The message advises U.S. citizens to avoid demonstrations, stay aware of their surroundings, and practice situational awareness at all times. "If altercations or violence occurs, remove yourself and any family/group members from the area immediately to a safe location (police officer, known public area, etc.)," the notice says. It also suggests setting a predetermined meeting time and place with friends or family in case of separation.

U.S. citizens are encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security messages and make it easier for authorities to locate them in an emergency.
