Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has received the National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award from Taiwan’s Ministry of the Environment for the fourth time since 2021. The award, considered the highest environmental recognition in Taiwan, was accompanied this year by a special “Honorary Environmental Protection Enterprise Trophy” after Yuanta achieved the Silver Award for three consecutive years.

According to Yuanta FHC, the company is committed to advancing net-zero emissions and sustainable finance. As Taiwan’s first diversified financial institution to sign on to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) net-zero commitment, Yuanta annually assesses greenhouse gas emissions from its operations and investment portfolios. The company highlighted progress in low-carbon operations, sustainable finance practices, supply chain management, and sustainability advocacy.

"As a green pioneer, the Yuanta Group actively adopts energy-saving equipment to reduce energy consumption and strategically implements green electricity usage. By 2024, Yuanta FHC and its eight subsidiaries have all begun using green electricity. We also leverage our financial influence to promote sustainable procurement, supporting products with environmental, energy-saving, and green certifications. In 2024, the Yuanta Group’s total green procurement expenditure reached approximately NT$299 million, earning recognition from the MOE for thirteen straight years. We continue to support the MOE’s Green Point initiative, integrating it with the Yuanta 188 Sustainability Activity Relay Program and Earth Hour activities to encourage employees to embrace eco-friendly lifestyles."

Yuanta Bank has reported savings of 340 million sheets of paper in 2024 through digitalization efforts such as online account applications—a 1.3-fold increase compared with 2023 levels. The bank has also introduced preferential loans for low-carbon products like new-energy vehicles. Meanwhile, Yuanta Funds now allows customers to purchase 25 funds via electronic payment accounts in an effort to improve convenience while reducing resource use.

The company stated that it aligns with international standards for sustainability performance. "As a mover and shaker in environmental sustainability, Yuanta FHC actively aligns with international standards, having been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for six years in a row and ranked first globally in the group of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets three times. We have likewise made the Climate A List of the international environmental information disclosure organization CDP for five consecutive years, and maintained Leadership Level status for seven straight years. Furthermore, Yuanta FHC joined the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) in 2024 as one of the world’s Early Adopters and participated in the MOE’s “Net-Zero Green Living Alliance” in 2025. We continuously monitor domestic and international net-zero trends, driving industries and society toward sustainable development goals."

The company continues its efforts by joining industry alliances such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) as an early adopter in 2024 and participating in government-led initiatives like Taiwan's Net-Zero Green Living Alliance.
