Sun Life U.S. has been recognized as one of Hartford's Top Workplaces by the Hartford Courant for the fifth consecutive year. The award highlights the organization's workplace culture, benefits, and flexible hybrid work model.

In addition to this recognition in Hartford, Sun Life has received similar Top Workplace honors from publications such as the Boston Globe, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Baltimore Sun, Kansas City Business Journal, and USA Today. The company has also been acknowledged by Forbes as a Best Employer for Diversity and one of America's Best Large Employers.

Tammi Wortham, senior vice president of Human Resources at Sun Life U.S., commented on the achievement: "We have a strong, purpose-driven culture that is built on support, flexibility and collaboration. We are proud to receive this award in Hartford for the fifth year in a row, because it reflects employee feedback and sentiments, and lets us know that our benefits, engagement strategies and employee programming are resonating with our workforce."

Sun Life offers employees paid family and medical leave, sabbaticals, menopause benefits introduced earlier this year, and a comprehensive benefits package. The company's hybrid work model allows employees to choose which days they use the office or work remotely.

Wortham added: "We believe in meeting employees where they are and offering benefits and programs that support their needs. As a benefits provider, we understand the trends in our industry and want to ensure we're offering our employees the best range of coverage options. We get a more engaged, healthier workforce, and opportunities to share our expertise and experience with our clients."

The Top Workplaces awards are based on employee surveys conducted by Energage.
