Siemens has been selected as the Official Digital Twin Sponsor by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) as part of FIA's new Global Partnership Programme. The agreement will see Siemens extend its Xcelerator portfolio to assist in creating and refining regulatory aerodynamic concepts for motorsport.

Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, commented on the partnership: “Motorsport is as a living lab for innovation, incubating technological advancements that often transform series production later. But the race starts before the rubber meets the road. It begins in the factories, with advanced software and the minds of brilliant engineers. Through our immersive digital twin technology, we’re enabling FIA to further push the boundaries of performance, safety, and sustainability for mobility.”

Craig Edmondson, chief commercial officer at FIA, also addressed the collaboration: “We’re proud to partner with global technology leaders like Siemens to shape the future of motor sport. This collaboration shows the strength of our wider partner network, where world-class brands are helping us deliver progress across performance, safety and sustainability.”

The FIA Global Partnership Programme is designed to foster cooperation with organizations worldwide that align with FIA’s goals around innovation, sustainability, and safety in both motorsport and general mobility. Siemens’ involvement will contribute to advancing these objectives within motorsport and throughout the automotive industry.
