The U.S. Embassy has announced a new opportunity for transaction advisors through the CATALYZE APEP Accelerator program, managed by Palladium and funded by USAID. The initiative seeks to attract investment into businesses that generate social or environmental benefits.
The current Request for Proposals (RFP) is designed to increase activity in underrepresented countries including Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Uruguay. To encourage participation in these regions, Palladium is offering greater incentives and lower minimum requirements for applicants. Advisors with projects in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru are also eligible to apply.
According to the announcement: "The U.S. Embassy is excited to share a new opportunity through the CATALYZE APEP Accelerator program. Palladium has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find transaction advisors who can help drive investments into businesses making a positive social or environmental impact."
"This RFP focuses on increasing activity in countries that are currently underrepresented: Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Uruguay. Palladium is offering greater incentives and lower minimum requirements to encourage investment in these areas. Advisors with projects in other program countries—Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru—are also welcome to apply."
Key details include a proposal deadline of January 15 and an early evaluation round on December 15. The eligibility criteria specify that advisors should have experience promoting investments in businesses with social and environmental objectives.
About the broader effort behind this call for proposals: "The CATALYZE APEP Accelerator, funded by USAID and managed by Palladium, supports private investments in businesses that create positive change. This new RFP builds on previous successful partnerships and aims to expand its impact across the region."
"If you or someone in your network is interested, please review the RFP and apply. Palladium and its partners will also share this opportunity widely."
Further updates about programs supporting investment across Latin America and the Caribbean are expected from the embassy.
