A demonstration is scheduled to take place at Austurvöllur, Parliament Square in Reykjavik, Iceland on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The event is set to begin at 14:00 GMT and will involve several organizations protesting the Icelandic government’s response to the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Police are expected to be present throughout the demonstration.

The U.S. Embassy in Iceland has issued a reminder for U.S. citizens to remain alert near protests and demonstrations or to avoid the area altogether. "Avoid the area. Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests. Monitor local media for updates. Be aware of your surroundings. Follow instructions from police and government authorities," according to guidance from the embassy.
