Belgrade Pride protest march and marathon set for September 6

A protest march connected to Belgrade Pride is planned for Saturday, September 6, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The route will start at Park Manjež and continue through Nemanjina, Slavija Square, Beogradska Street, Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, Resavska Street, Kralja Milana, Kneza Miloša, returning to Nemanjina and ending at Park Manjež. Organizers have announced a sixteen-minute pause in front of the Faculty of Law to honor victims of the Novi Sad Railway Station tragedy that occurred on November 1, 2024.

In addition to the protest march, the Belgrade Marathon 10k race is scheduled for the same day in Novi Beograd starting at 6:00 p.m. A separate demonstration involving a 3.5 km race will overlap with part of the marathon route and begin at 6:20 p.m.

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade has issued guidance for those in the area during these events. "Monitor local media for updates. Be aware of your surroundings. Make contingency plans to leave. Review your personal security plans."
