Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11, its latest premium tablets. The new series is powered by the latest Galaxy AI and features One UI 8 with new multimodal capabilities. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the thinnest tablet in the company’s lineup, aiming to combine portability with high performance.
The tablets are designed for productivity and creative work on the go. They include an upgraded Samsung DeX system and a redesigned S Pen. These features support multitasking, note-taking, and visual concept creation in various environments.
“The Galaxy Tab S11 series combines AI innovation with refined hardware to deliver a true multitasking experience that reflects Samsung’s deep experience in mobile productivity,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the latest Galaxy AI and new multimodal capabilities, these flagship tablets enable ultimate efficiency – empowering users to work, create and flow more naturally across a versatile, large screen.”
One UI 8 introduces multimodal AI tools that can interpret typed text, spoken commands, and visual inputs to provide real-time suggestions. The software aims to improve workflow efficiency for different tasks.
The series includes a full suite of Galaxy AI features optimized for large screens. Enhanced Samsung DeX enables multitasking across apps and devices, including an Extended Mode that allows users to use both the tablet and an external monitor as a dual-screen setup. Users can drag apps between displays or set up four separate workspaces for different activities such as work projects or travel planning.
With Book Cover Keyboard Slim compatibility, users can convert their tablet into a mobile workstation. The dedicated Galaxy AI Key provides quick access to AI assistants.
Hardware improvements include Samsung’s enhanced 3nm processor debuting in this tablet series. The company reports that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra offers improved processing power over its predecessor: 33% faster NPU performance, 24% faster CPU, and 27% faster GPU performance compared to the previous model.
The design emphasizes portability with the Ultra model measuring 5.1 mm thick and featuring narrow bezels for increased screen space. Both models use Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with up to 1600 nits peak brightness for visibility indoors or outdoors.
Third-party app support includes Goodnotes (with one year free), Clip Studio Paint (six-month trial plus discount), LumaFusion (discounted price with one month Creator Pass), Notion (one-month trial of Plus plan with Notion AI), Noteshelf 3 (customizable layouts), ArcSite (precision CAD tools), Sketchbook (illustration), and Picsart (AI-driven design).
One UI 8 will also be available on previous devices such as the Galaxy Tab S10 series starting in October.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series launches September 4 in select markets in Gray and Silver color options. More details are available at Samsung Newsroom, SamsungMobilePress.com or Samsung.com.
