Samsung Electronics has unveiled its latest portable audio products, the Sound Tower ST50F and ST40F models, at IFA 2025. These new devices are designed for both indoor and outdoor gatherings, featuring advanced acoustic technology and a modern design aimed at delivering an immersive experience with synchronized light and sound.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “The new Sound Tower sets a new standard in how consumers experience entertainment in both indoor and outdoor settings. With customizable lighting effects and an upgraded form factor that produces fully encompassing sound, it underscores Samsung’s commitment to providing innovative audio solutions for the diverse lifestyles of customers.”

The Sound Tower offers up to 240W of output power depending on the model. It incorporates Samsung’s Waveguide technology in its dual dome tweeters to distribute audio evenly across a wide area. The device includes dual woofers with selectable bass modes—Deep, Punchy, and Gentle—allowing users to adjust sound profiles based on preference. There are also four additional sound modes: Standard, Wide, Stadium, and Outdoor.

Battery life is up to 18 hours per charge, with a replaceable battery system for extended use. The device is rated IPX4 for water resistance. Users can connect multiple units using Auracast Group Play or pair two towers via Stereo Play with True Wireless Stereo (TWS) for left-right channel separation.

Lighting features include five mood presets and six dynamic patterns controlled through the Samsung Sound Tower App. The system uses real-time music analysis to synchronize LED effects with audio playback. Lighting options such as Wave, Trail, Spark, Breeze, Flow, and Flare allow customization for different atmospheres.

Additional features include built-in DJ Booth and Karaoke modes as well as a guitar input. The design incorporates geometric shapes and integrated lighting elements. For portability, the ST40F has a grip slot and handle while the ST50F adds wheels and a telescopic handle.

The new Samsung Sound Tower models are now available globally. More details can be found at www.samsung.com.
