KfW IPEX-Bank has arranged a syndicated term loan facility totaling EUR 120 million for Agrobank, a state-owned bank in Uzbekistan. The three-year loan will be used to refinance German and European exports and support Agrobank’s green technology initiatives.

As the sole bookrunner, KfW IPEX-Bank led the syndication process and brought two other European banks into the financing arrangement.

Dr Velibor Marjanovic, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank, stated: "The facility will make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises in particular to access a growth market and broaden their sales base. This underlines our commitment to supporting Europe's export industry."

This deal reflects KfW IPEX-Bank’s ongoing activities in emerging markets by providing financing for trade transactions involving German and European companies as well as medium- and long-term project refinancing.
