Instagram has launched a microdrama series in India aimed at encouraging Gen Z users to take creative risks and connect with each other. The new series is part of Instagram’s ongoing efforts to support creativity on its platform and follows the brand campaign released earlier in the United States.

The initiative comes as Instagram marks its 15th anniversary, with the company focusing on new features and products that foster creative expression. Recent updates include apps like Edits for video creatives, as well as features such as Trials and Reposts.

“As Instagram turns 15 this year, we’re investing more in enabling creative expression than ever before. This includes launching new apps like Edits for video creatives, or features like Trials and Reposts. We hope the byte-sized nature of microdramas, hosted on reels, and combined with a storyline that appeals to Gen Z, encourages them to tap into their own everyday experiences and share them creatively on Instagram,” said Arun Srinivas, Country Director, Meta, India.

The Indian microdrama series is titled “Party of Two” and consists of seven episodes. It stars actors Nidhi Bhanushali (@_ninosaur) and Sunakshi Grover (@sunakshigrover), portraying two flatmates with different personalities who express themselves creatively in unique ways. The show was developed in partnership with the creative agency Communique and directed by Samudra Sengupta & Gopikrishnan Nair.

The trailer for “Party of Two” was released today. New episodes will be available every other day starting September 4th on @metaindia and @instagram accounts. The trailer can be viewed at https://about.fb.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Trailer-Party-of-Two.mp4.
