Samsung Electronics has launched a new campaign called “SmartThings Meets AI Home,” introducing its vision for the future of connected living. The campaign video, released ahead of IFA 2025, demonstrates how Samsung’s AI Home integrates artificial intelligence into daily routines through the SmartThings platform.
The AI Home system is designed to understand and adapt to user needs by connecting both Samsung and third-party devices via SmartThings. The video shows features such as SmartThings Routine, which can automatically adjust air conditioner settings and lighting, and enable home appliances to handle household chores with a single tap on the app. These functions aim to allow users more time for family activities, relaxation, and sleep. Additionally, the SmartThings Pet Care service lets users monitor and care for their pets remotely.
“With this campaign, we aimed to highlight Samsung’s AI home experience redefined by AI leadership and SmartThings in a way that truly connects with customers,” said Won-Jin Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to make efforts to bring AI home experiences that make everyday life simpler, more meaningful and more human.”
Starting September 2, the campaign video will be displayed on outdoor screens at major locations including Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Circus in London. It will also be available on Samsung’s official social media channels such as YouTube.
The SmartThings App supports these features on Android and iOS devices but requires routine setup within the app. Users must have a Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account for full functionality.
