DBS has received five awards at the Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) 2025, including the Luminary Award, which recognises companies for excellence in corporate governance, stakeholder value creation, and leadership. The bank also won Gold awards in the Best Managed Board, Best Risk Management, and Best Annual Report categories for large-cap companies. Chng Sok Hui was named Best Chief Financial Officer in the same category.

The SCA is organised by The Business Times, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and Singapore Institute of Directors. It marks its 20th anniversary this year as an umbrella event to recognise listed companies in Singapore for exemplary corporate governance practices.

According to the SCA, the Luminary Award “commemorates two decades of the SCA and recognises a distinguished listed company that has consistently exemplified excellence in corporate governance, long-term stakeholder value creation and visionary leadership”. The SCA added: “The award recognises DBS’ unwavering commitment to the highest standards of governance, transparency, and corporate stewardship – setting benchmarks in business resilience and sustainable value creation.”

DBS has been recognised internationally with titles such as “World’s Best Bank” by Global Finance and Euromoney; it was also named “Global Bank of the Year” by The Banker.
