Joey R. Hood U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia | U.S. Embassy in Tunisia

The U.S. Embassy in Tunis has issued a request for quotes (RFQ) for the supply of office furniture, with offers due by September 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. The embassy is seeking VAT-free proposals from vendors for a range of items including visitor chairs, office desks with drawers, office chairs, file cabinets, executive desks and chairs, sofas, coffee tables, meeting tables and chairs.

According to the RFQ details, all items must be new and fully assembled unless otherwise specified. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering and installing the furniture at six locations that will be determined later. Vendors are required to provide photographic evidence confirming delivery and installation.

Interested suppliers must submit both technical and financial offers. The technical offer should include proof of an established business, proof of SAM registration (System for Award Management), and technical sheets of the products. The financial offer must be signed and stamped.

All proposals should be submitted in two envelopes to the American Embassy Tunis at 1053 Les Berges du Lac, Attention: GSO/Contracting Officer referencing PR#15517112. Late submissions will not be considered.

The embassy states: "The US Government promotes fair and open competition.  The selection criteria are:  Technically Acceptable, Lowest Priced."

Advance payments will not be made; instead, payments will follow the Prompt Payment Act guidelines via electronic funds transfer within 30 days after receipt of services and correct invoicing.

For questions regarding the RFQ process or requirements such as SAM registration or NDAA compliance certification—now required under federal acquisition regulations—vendors are encouraged to contact the embassy by email.

Further information on NDAA compliance can be found at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/52.204-24.

Vendors awarded contracts must ensure they are registered in SAM.gov before any contract can be finalized.
