Samsung Electronics has announced that Microsoft Copilot will be integrated into its 2025 lineup of TVs and Smart Monitors. The move aims to provide users with enhanced personalized and intelligent features through Samsung Vision AI.

With the integration, users can access Microsoft’s AI companion using voice commands or a remote control, allowing them to search, learn, and interact with content directly on their screens.

“Through our open AI partnerships, Samsung is setting a new standard for AI-powered screens,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at the Visual Display (VD) Business of Samsung Electronics. “Copilot makes it fun and easy to quickly get what you need through tailored experiences, whether you’re learning something new, enjoying entertainment, tackling everyday tasks or more.”

The company stated that this development builds on recent improvements to its Click to Search feature and Bixby voice assistant. Copilot’s addition will also bring advanced conversational AI capabilities to Samsung Daily+, which is the brand’s lifestyle hub offering services in areas such as entertainment, wellness, and food.

Copilot will be accessible via Samsung Tizen OS home screen, Samsung Daily+, and Click to Search. The tool provides conversational support for various scenarios by offering recommendations, information, and interactive learning. For example, viewers can ask about actors or athletes in a show they are watching, request plot summaries, seek help with foreign language learning, or get explanations of complex topics—all directly from their TV or monitor.

“Copilot on Samsung TVs is designed to feel like an AI companion in your living room,” said David Washington, Partner General Manager at Microsoft AI. “Together with Samsung’s leadership in advanced display technology, we’re bringing people a shared experience that helps them discover something to watch, ask questions, make plans or simply enjoy a moment together, all on the biggest screen in their home.”

Samsung remains the world’s top TV manufacturer for 19 consecutive years according to market research firm Omdia.
