Samsung Electronics has announced plans to unveil new laundry appliances at IFA 2025 in Berlin, featuring the Bespoke AI Washer with A-65% energy efficiency and the second-generation Bespoke AI Laundry Combo. The company stated these products reflect its commitment to providing energy savings, intelligent features, and design options for users globally.

“With the new A-65% washer, Samsung has pushed the boundaries of convenience and energy efficiency once again,” said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team, Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With AI-driven features like the new AI Wash+, practical hardware upgrades and a wider choice of design options, we aim to deliver personalized experiences that reduce effort and maximize satisfaction.”

The new A-65% washer uses 65% less energy than required for a Class A rating under European standards. This is made possible by improvements in motor efficiency and updated washing algorithms. It also includes an enhanced version of AI Wash+, which can now adjust cycles for more fabric types such as outdoor wear and denim by detecting load weight, soiling level, and fabric type to automatically set water levels, detergent amounts, and wash time.

The washer will be available in a new Neat White color as well as dark steel. Both versions feature a 7-inch touch screen interface and are compatible with SmartThings integration.

Samsung will also introduce a matching dryer in Neat White equipped with AI Dry+ technology. This system identifies fabric type and moisture level using an advanced algorithm to optimize drying time and reduce both energy consumption and drying duration by 20%.

At IFA 2025, Samsung will showcase the second-generation Bespoke AI Laundry Combo. The latest model builds on its predecessor’s popularity following its earlier launch in Korea this year. Despite retaining its external dimensions, it offers a three-kilogram increase in drying capacity along with structural changes—such as a denser heat exchanger fin layout—to improve heat transfer surface area by 8.5%. An upgraded heater system further enhances preheating capability.

This generation introduces practical upgrades including an improved AI Wash & Dry + cycle that detects additional fabric types like denim and outdoor wear. The Auto Open Door+ feature opens automatically after washing or drying to reduce moisture buildup inside the tub while circulating air after wash-only cycles to lower humidity levels.

Optimized cycles have been added for various user needs: a Super Speed cycle completes washing plus drying in 79 minutes; single garment cycles finish in 49 minutes; shirt cycles take just 39 minutes. Navigation is supported by a redesigned touchscreen interface displaying six commonly used cycles prominently for easier control.

In Korea, customers can choose between Normal or Infinite designs—the latter offering flat surfaces with hidden touch doors made from stainless steel materials.
