The United States has extended the validity of C1/D visas, which are issued to transit and crew members, for Zimbabwean applicants. These visas will now be valid for 24 months and allow multiple entries. Zimbabwean citizens seeking these visas can apply at U.S. embassies or consulates outside Zimbabwe.
The U.S. Embassy in Harare remains unable to process routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applications, except for most diplomatic and official visas. According to the embassy, "The Trump Administration is protecting our nation and our citizens by upholding the highest standards of national security and public safety through our visa process. We are always working to prevent visa overstay and misuse." The embassy also stated that applicants with scheduled interviews will be contacted when appointments can be rescheduled.
Routine and emergency services for American citizens continue without interruption at the U.S. Embassy in Harare.
