Effective September 2, 2025, the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia will require all individuals applying for a U.S. visa to attend their interview in person, regardless of age. This update means that children of every age must also be present at the time of the visa interview.

According to embassy officials, "This policy applies to all applicants, including children of every age." The embassy further emphasized, "Parents and guardians should note that children of all ages must now be present at the interview when applying for a visa."

The change is part of updated procedures affecting families and other applicants seeking entry to the United States.
