On August 16, Chargée d’Affaires Amanda Jacobsen led a delegation of the U.S. Air Force Band to Pointe-Noire during her first official visit to the city. She was received by Colonel-Major NGUIE Félicien, who represented the Commander of Military Zone No. 1.

During the meeting, Colonel-Major NGUIE introduced Jacobsen to his team and discussed planned activities in collaboration with the U.S. Armed Forces. The event highlighted ongoing cooperation between the two countries' military forces.

"We commend the hospitality and professionalism of the Congolese Armed Forces, which reflect the strength of the ongoing collaboration on regional security between the U.S. and Congolese Armed Forces," according to a statement from those present at the event.

The visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen regional security ties between Congo and the United States.
