Cindy Diouf has been named Principal Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Grenada. Diouf is a career Foreign Service Officer with assignments in Brazil, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Washington, DC. Her most recent position was as Senior Desk Officer for Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.
Diouf has also worked on temporary duty assignments in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In her overseas roles, she focused on visas, citizenship services, and crisis management. In Washington, she worked to advance relations with European allies.
Before joining the Foreign Service, Diouf was a school district administrator in the United States and held positions in Senegal and Guinea.
She holds a BA in French and Secondary Education as well as an MA in Planning, Policy, and Leadership from the University of Iowa. Diouf speaks French, Portuguese, and some Spanish.
She enjoys swimming, scuba diving, hiking, and participating in the lives of her three adult children.
