The U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen has issued a request for quotations (RFQ) for the supply and delivery of carpet tiles to be used in the Consular waiting room area. The embassy specified Milliken, Tectonic Carpet Tiles, TTC25-152, in the color Meltwater, as the preferred product but will also consider alternatives that are comparable in quality, design, and characteristics.
The total area requiring coverage is 300 square meters. All quotations must include costs such as transportation, warranty, Value Added Tax (VAT), and any other applicable fees.
According to the embassy's statement: "Products offered as 'equal' must be comparable in quality, design and characteristics to the brand name specified. In accordance with FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal, the Embassy will determine the acceptability of any proposed substitute products."
Offers should be submitted electronically to CopenhagenProcurement@state.gov by Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12:00 local time. For further information about the RFQ process or product requirements, interested parties can contact the Copenhagen Procurement Team by phone at +45 3341 7100 or by email at copenhagenProcurement@state.gov.
The embassy emphasized compliance with federal regulations for proposals exceeding $30,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency): "Offerors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their offer/proposal as prescribed under FAR 4.1102."
It was further noted: "Failure to be registered at the time of proposal submission may deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsible and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, offerors are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this requirement."
