BMO has introduced the BMO Escape Credit Card with Mastercard, a travel rewards credit card aimed at helping travelers maximize their spending through a range of benefits and reward options.

The new card provides up to $240 in annual hotel statement credits, membership to Priority Pass airport lounges, and rebates on fees for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS. Cardholders are not charged foreign transaction fees, which is positioned as a significant advantage for those traveling internationally.

The BMO Escape Credit Card also features an accelerated points system: users earn 4x points per U.S. dollar on eligible dining and airfare (up to $3,000 in combined spend per quarter), 3x points on hotels, cruise lines, tours, and travel agencies (also up to $3,000 per quarter), and 2x points on car rentals, taxis, and rideshares (again up to $3,000 per quarter). All other eligible purchases earn unlimited 1x points per dollar. Points can be redeemed for travel-related expenses as well as gift cards, shopping or cash credits.

Jennifer Douglas, Head of North American Retail and Small Business Payments at BMO said: "Our customers who travel frequently are looking for a card that provides world-class rewards and benefits, so we are proud to offer the BMO Escape Credit Card, in partnership with Mastercard. With the ability to earn multiplying rewards that can be redeemed in the ways they prefer; this card is designed to help travelers make real financial progress."

Julie Schanzer, EVP of Financial Institutions in the U.S. at Mastercard added: "We're excited to partner with BMO on the new Escape Credit Card, elevating the travel experience for cardholders. Every time someone uses this card, they're not only unlocking great benefits—they're gaining peace of mind knowing our cardholder protection services are working behind the scenes. It's about making every journey more memorable, more secure, and more rewarding."
